All for a cause!

We usually sit in the comfort of our homes, not facing any hardship in life. Then there are others who crave for two morsels of food a day.

We say, education is a necessity for all. How will these underprivileged kids get a fair chance? They need support! For the very same cause, 'The Joy Run' has been planned.

'The Joy Run' is a special concept where people from various cities run at the same time on the same day with everyone running for a cause. “The Joy Run” is a pure fund – raising event meant for charitable causes and an opportunity for hundreds of NGOs across India to promote their causes and also raise funds through a 7 - 10km run. 26th of February, 2012, will have superstar film personalities, sports celebrities, mega TV stars and various other eminent personalities supporting the causes of various NGOs. The first of its kind, this noble effort will add more cities across India with every passing year. With the support of every citizen who enjoys giving back to the society, 'The Joy Run' will be the largest run in history and the most important day in the NGO calendar. By 2016, 'The Joy Run' will take place simultaneously in various countries.

The initiative is a joint effort of “I Love My Mother Earth” Foundation and Gul Panag’s SOAP (Social Outreach Accreditation Program)

The 'announcement':

"Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (University of Delhi) in association with ILMME & SOAP presents The Joy Run (Delhi).

The Joy Run - a one of its kind concept that uniquely entwines sport with spirit. It is a multi city run in which participants run at the same time on the same day and that too for a cause.

This, 26th of February, run to celebrate and make every step count.

Shri Sandeep Dikshit, MP, has kindly consented to grace the event as our Chief Guest. "

What this program needs, is YOUR participation.
I, being a school student, would be unable to take part in this run, hence I am doing my share by telling the world about it.

GO FOR IT!
